The Story

In the late 1990’s, Earth was at war with itself.

The nations of the world were fighting each other it what has become known as the Global Civil War.

The Global Civil War came to an abrupt and drastic end when an alien battle fortress made a crash landing on a deserted South Pacific Island known as Macross in 1999.

Over the course of the next 10 years, the alien battle fortress was studied and rebuilt, a United Earth Government was formed, and technology gleaned from the ship was used to create new weapons of war for the inevitable arrival of it’s alien creators.

That day came in 2009 during the launch ceremonies of the rebuilt alien battle fortress, now called the SDF-1.

What followed was the first of three alien invasions of Earth.

First it was the giant alien warriors, the Zentraedi.

The were followed by they’re creators, the Robotech Masters, and their arch-enemies, the Invid.
