No matter how much you plan and plan, no matter how much you prepare for the unexpected, life always manages to throw you a curve ball.
I was really looking forward to going to Anime Central this year, but the unexpected happened this week. Something I couldn't even prepare for.
My mother was in a car accident.
One of her vertebrae was damaged, and they are keeping her in the hospital for the next couple of days while they decided whether or not to operate or just keep her neck stable in a halo.
Because of her accident, I have decided it would be better to stay home and help her when she needs some assistance.
I would like to apologize to all the Robotech fans that were planning on attending the RDF Underground Room Party.
I wish I could go, and spend time partying with all of you, but unfortunately, my family must come first.
I hope you have fun with out me, and take plenty of pictures.

Because I had to cancel the RDF Underground Room Party at Anime Central, I've been racking my brain for a good alternative for a Midwest Robotech Fan Meetup.
And I have come up with a couple of ideas.
Now, as you may know, I'm also a Doctor Who fan, and there is a bit of cross over between Robotech and Doctor Who fandom (I blame PBS for showing it in the 80's), I'm thinking of doing one at Chicaco TARDIS 2008 over Thanksgiving weekend.
Also, as you can probably guess from my Second Life avatar, I am also a furry, and might head off to the Midwest Furfest this November. Since it is in the Chicago area, and I do feel Chicago is probably one of the best places in the Midwest for RT fans to meet (it's a major metropolis and a national hub), I would consider doing a little RT related thing there also.
Or, what I could do is plan a hotel meetup sometime in October at a Chicago area hotel, and just have a little hang out.
I want to know what you think, so let me know in the forums or in the comments your opinions about a Midwest Robotech Meetup.

These last couple of weeks have been a little out of control for me.
In Second Life, one of my good friends has been having some serious personal issues, and I’ve been trying to focus on helping him, all while trying to bring the Monster Movie Show down the Rabbit Hole with me.
In Real Life, my one co-worker has gotten a job offer, and left, leaving me to work all day, everyday while we look for a replacement, and I’ve been working on my studio set up again.
